Desktop and Mobile Apps
The BallEngine app for Windows, installing BallEngine from your browser, and using it on a phone.
BallEngine for Windows
The download page (ballengine.app/download) has a free desktop app for Windows 10 and 11. It opens the full Studio in its own window, asks your computer for its dedicated graphics card for smoother playback and recording, and supports true full screen (F11). It loads the live BallEngine, so new features arrive without reinstalling. macOS and Linux versions are not available; use BallEngine in your browser there.
- 1On a Windows PC, open ballengine.app/download.
- 2Press Download for Windows and run the installer.
- 3Open BallEngine and sign in. Google sign-in finishes in your web browser; return to the app when it is done.
Tip
- Inside the Windows app, App settings on your account page has Launch on startup.
Installing BallEngine from the Browser
If your browser can install websites as apps, App settings on your account page shows an install button. An installed web app opens in its own window and is the same BallEngine you use in the browser.
On Your Phone
On a phone or tablet, open ballengine.app in your browser and sign in. The whole Studio works, with the settings in a sheet under the preview (see Using the Studio on a Phone). Plans are bought on the website.
Phones export at 720p by default so the video finishes. If a render on your phone fails or stutters, choose Cloud under Render on and the video is made on our servers instead.
