How to Create Your First Ball Simulation
Open the Creator Studio, pick a mode, set the arena and press play. The five minutes that get you from a blank studio to a recording.

What the Studio Actually Looks Like
The Creator Studio is one canvas with a settings sidebar. The sidebar is split into seven tabs: Engine, Physics, Arts, Audio, Video, Cloud and Publish. Engine is where you pick your simulation mode. Physics holds gravity, bounce and speed. Arts holds every colour, trail and background control. Audio holds your songs, MIDI files and instruments. Video records and exports. Cloud stores your saves and uploads. Publish sends the finished file to a connected account. Almost everything you will touch in your first hour lives in Engine, Physics and Arts.
- •The sidebar can be pinned open or collapsed. Press Escape to hide the whole interface for a clean look at the canvas.
- •There is a light and dark theme toggle at the bottom of the sidebar. It only changes the Studio, never your recording.
Pick a Mode First
Mode changes what the simulation is, so choose it before you tune anything else. Open the Engine tab and use the mode picker. Rhythmic plays the next note of a song on every bounce. Escape sends a ball outward through a stack of rings with gaps in them. Drawer paints a line along the path the ball travels. Spawner turns one ball into hundreds. Ghost adds spikes to the ring so a miss ends the run. Spiral drops the ball into a rotating spiral tunnel of boxes. Rhythmic is the best first choice because it produces a finished-looking video with no other changes.
- •Switching mode rewrites mode-specific settings. Save your work before you experiment.
- •Start with Rhythmic, then try Escape. Those two cover most of what people recognise as ball simulation content.
Add-ons: Combining Two Modes
Below the mode picker is an Add-ons group with three toggles. Line Trail Engine draws a fading path behind the ball. Music Sync makes the simulation react to the active song, and on Rhythmic it governs whether bounces snap to the beat or run on free physics. Breaking Rings adds the Escape ring stack to whatever mode you are in. Turning on Music Sync and Breaking Rings together gives you a rhythmic escape, where the ball plays a melody while it works its way out through the rings. That combination is the single most reused setup on the platform.
- •Add-ons are how you combine modes. You do not need a separate mode entry for "rhythmic escape", you build it from the toggles.
Set the Arena and the Ball
Open the Physics tab. Starting Arena Size sets the radius of the boundary in pixels and accepts 10 to 800, with 200 as the default. Gravity accepts 0 to 0.5 in steps of 0.001 and ships at 0. This is a simulation-space value, not metres per second squared, so treat 0.05 as gentle drift and 0.3 as a hard fall. Bounciness accepts 0 to 2.0 and ships at 1, which is a perfectly elastic bounce that never loses energy. Ball Weight accepts 0.1 to 10. Ball Radius lives in the Arts tab under Ball Studio and accepts 1 to 150, with 10 as the default.
- →Starting Arena Size: 10 to 800 px (default 200)
- →Gravity: 0 to 0.5, step 0.001 (default 0)
- →Bounciness: 0 to 2.0, step 0.01 (default 1)
- →Ball Weight: 0.1 to 10, step 0.1 (default 1)
- →Ball Radius: 1 to 150 px (default 10)
Play, Pause and Reset
Press Space to play or pause. Press Space twice quickly, within about a third of a second, to restart the run from the beginning. Press Escape to show or hide the interface. Ctrl+Z undoes a settings change and Ctrl+Y redoes it. Alt+S saves. In Escape mode, pressing S freezes and unfreezes the ring rotation, which is useful for lining up a shot. In Spiral mode, pressing B throws the ball. Shift+Alt+R resets every setting to factory defaults and asks for confirmation first.
- →Space: play / pause
- →Space twice quickly: restart the run
- →Escape: show or hide the interface
- →Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y: undo / redo
- →Alt+S: save
- →S: freeze ring rotation (Escape mode only)
- →B: throw the ball (Spiral mode only)
- →Shift+Alt+R: reset all settings to factory defaults
Record What You Made
Open the Video tab and pick a resolution. 720p and 1080p are available on every plan. 1440p and 4K need a Pro plan. Pick an aspect ratio: 9:16 for vertical, 16:9 for landscape, 1:1 for square, 4:3, or Custom Region to crop a rectangle you draw yourself. Picking a resolution auto-tunes bitrate and frame rate for you, so you do not need to open Advanced Recording on your first export. Turn on Sync Simulation so the capture restarts the run when recording begins, then hit record.
- •Leave Auto-Stop Capture on and set Stop After to your target length so you do not have to catch the ending by hand.
- •Everything you make is saved from the Cloud tab, so you can come back and re-record with different colours later.
