Managing Multiple Brands
Run separate posting identities, each with its own accounts, schedule, pool and hashtags. Managed in Automation, Brands tab.
What a Brand Is
A brand is one posting identity: one set of connected accounts, one Autopilot schedule and pool, and one set of hashtags. Every account starts with a default brand. Automation plans add more: 2 on Lite, 3 on Growth, 5 on Scale and 10 on Max. Without an automation plan you have 1 brand.
The Brands Tab
Brands live in Automation, Brands tab (/automation/brands). Each row shows the brand name, "Default" on your first brand, and "Active" or "Locked".
| Control | What it does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Add brand | Creates a new brand (type a "Brand name", then "Add"). | Hidden when you reach your plan's limit. |
| Rename (pencil icon) | Changes the brand name. | - |
| Delete (bin icon) | Removes the brand. | Its connected accounts and schedules are removed too. Cannot be undone. The default brand cannot be deleted. |
| Accounts | Switches to this brand and opens the Accounts tab. | The fastest way to set up a new brand. |
| Hashtags | The tags added to every video this brand publishes. | Up to 10 tags, each up to 30 characters. Press "Save". |
Switching Brands
The "Posting as" switcher appears on the Accounts tab and the Studio Publish tab, and on the Autopilot tab when you have more than one brand. It shows the active brand, lets you switch, and has "Add brand" and "Manage brands". Everything you connect, publish or schedule applies to the active brand. The composer also shows a "Publish as" dropdown when you have more than one active brand.
Locked Brands After a Plan Change
If you move to a plan with fewer brands, the extra brands are kept but locked. The switcher shows "[n] brand(s) paused by your plan" and explains that they stay saved but will not post until your plan covers them again. Moving back up restores them with their accounts and schedules intact.
