Publishing to Snapchat Spotlight
Connect a Snapchat account with a Public Profile and post to Spotlight, with the exact format Snapchat requires.
What You Need
Snapchat publishing posts to Spotlight, Snapchat's short-form feed. It needs a Snapchat Business account with a Public Profile, since Spotlight posts attach to a profile. Set that up in Snapchat first if you do not have one.
The Spotlight Format Rules
Spotlight is strict about format, and the form checks your clip before uploading so a mismatch fails fast with a clear message instead of an opaque rejection after a full upload. Your video must be a vertical MP4, at least 540 by 960 pixels, and between 6 and 60 seconds long. A standard 9:16 export from the Video tab already meets the resolution and orientation rules; you only need to watch the length.
- Format: MP4, vertical orientation
- Minimum resolution: 540 x 960
- Length: 6 to 60 seconds
If Snapchat rejects the clip before upload, it is almost always the length. Trim to between 6 and 60 seconds and try again.
Connecting and Posting
Select Snapchat on the Publish tab, press "Connect Snapchat", and approve access with your Business account. Then choose your source, add your caption, and publish now or schedule. Snapchat publishing is available on the Pro Creator and Studio Elite plans. To disconnect, use the Disconnect button on the card and confirm.
